Dog Behaviour Consultations

Behavioural issues in dogs arise all the time for many different reasons. Gaining a good understanding of why they may arise and what is causing the undesired behaviour is crucial to a successful long- term behaviour change.

Every dog and their issue is unique and will respond differently to different methods of behaviour training. My advice reflects a modern day approach to teaching dogs – always using positive reward based training methods.

Many behaviours we find undesirable are actually perfectly normal reactions to our dogs. We have to re-direct and guide our dogs towards the behaviours that we desire from them. After assessing your dog and finding out the reasons for the behaviour(s) we will offer solutions, demonstrations and training programs for you to follow and help you and your dog enjoy a balanced relationship.

The bond between you and your dog is special, so wouldn’t it be amazing if you could understand what your dog is thinking and be able to use this knowledge to communicate with them. To help them make the right choices in all situations, even when they may feel stressed or a threat.

What Do I Cover…

  • Noise Sensitivity
  • Separation Anxiety
  • Dog Aggression
  • Human Aggression
  • Resource Guarding
  • Bordem
  • Anxiety
  • Vocalisation
  • Preparing your dog for medical treatment

And much more…

Our one on one session allow you and your dog to get a tailored behaviour modification and an action plan which will guide you in the right direction to enable you and your dog managing their current behaviour for the long run. Your visit can be at your home or if necessary at another location if the training requires it.

You initial consultation generally consists of a meeting and a chat about the struggles you may be having.

Moving forward, we then look and discuss the theory behind your struggles, why it is happening and how we can move forward to change the behaviour.

Using the exercises we’ve taught you, we’ll then write you a personalised training program to take you and your dog from where you are now to where you want to be. We’ll work with you to break the training program down into achievable milestones so that when you look at it, you feel confident and motivated to put it into practice.

The consultation will also consist of a practical session where practising the tools of training to kick start you and your dog’s journey.

Most importantly ….. It will be FUN!. .. for you and your dog!

So what does this all cost….
